What Do Those Date Numbers Mean?

20141017_143708All the adhesive products that we offer come stamped with a code that shows the exact date of manufacture.  Knowing that most of our adhesives have a 12 month shelf life, this date is particularly important.  The date, however, isn’t in a typical MM-DD-YY format.  In the picture, you can see the manufacture date code is 214121. Here’s what it means:

214 is the year:  2014

121 refers to the day of the year.  In this case, the 121st day of the year, or May 1st.

How does this help you?  When organizing your inventory, always use the oldest batches first.  That way you can always expect the same results and quality.

Hope this helps!  If you have any questions about our adhesives, call us or use our Contact Form to reach us!
